Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ColorFlex DTF transfers, ordering, pressing, and more.

DTF (Direct to Film) transfers are full-color heat transfers printed on special film. You apply them to apparel using a heat press — no weeding, no screens, no mess. They're great for small runs, custom orders, and repeat production.
No minimum order. You can order as little or as much as you need. Our FlexSheets rolling gang sheet technology means you only pay for the space your artwork actually uses.
A gang sheet is a way to arrange multiple designs on a single sheet to maximize print efficiency. With ColorFlex FlexSheets, your gang sheet grows to match your artwork — no fixed sizes, no wasted space.
We accept PNG (preferred), PDF, and AI files. Files should have a transparent background and be at least 300 DPI for best print quality. Our system will flag any artwork issues before your order goes to print.
We check all artwork before printing. If there's an issue — low resolution, wrong format, missing transparency — we'll reach out before your order goes to press so you're never surprised.
Set your heat press to 300–320°F (150–160°C). Press for 15–20 seconds with medium-to-firm pressure. Peel the film warm or cold (check our guide for specifics). That's it — your transfer is on.
DTF transfers work on cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends, nylon, leather, and more. They're one of the most versatile decoration methods available — not just for apparel.
Most orders ship within 48 hours of artwork approval. We'll keep you updated on production status. Expedited options are available at checkout if you need them faster.
If your transfers arrive with a production defect or error on our end, we'll reprint or issue a credit — no questions asked. Reach out within 7 days of receiving your order with photos of the issue.
